| The International
Intellectual Property Institute seeks highly qualified and motivated law, graduate and
undergraduate students to join our team as interns. Interns gain experience in all
aspects of our organization and work closely with a variety of experts in
intellectual property and international development. Internship positions are available for the Fall, Spring and
Summer semesters. Internship positions are unpaid but IIPI will be
as helpful as possible with providing academic credit. Interns are
encouraged to attend local talks, networking events and social functions
as often as they arise.
Law/Graduate School Internship:
IIPIs law and
graduate student interns will work with IIPI attorneys and other staff to provide
research, logistical and writing support for various projects at the Institute.
Projects vary throughout the year, so the intern experiences will be
unique. Legal interns must have excellent research and writing skills and
having foreign
language skills are a plus. Legal interns should have a
demonstrated interest in intellectual property or international law and
graduate school interns should demonstrate a particular interest or background in international
economic development, international relations or economics. Legal interns are required to spend
at least 24 hours per week (3 full days) at IIPI. Summer interns
are expected to work 40 hours a week unless exceptional
circumstances exist.
If you are interested in applying for an internship
or the Fall 2008 Fellowship, please send a
cover letter, resume, transcripts and writing sample to Molly Torsen via e-mail (mtorsen@iipi.org) or via fax to 202-478-1955. |
