| The International
Intellectual Property Institute seeks highly qualified and motivated law, graduate and
undergraduate students to join our team as interns. Interns gain experience in all
aspects of our organization and work closely with a variety of experts in
intellectual property and international development. Internship positions are available for the Fall, Spring and
Summer semesters. Internship positions are unpaid but IIPI will be
as helpful as possible with providing academic credit. Interns are
encouraged to attend local talks, networking events and social functions
as often as they arise.
Law/Graduate School Internship:
IIPI seeks interns for the summer.
Interns will assist IIPI with at least two projects: one having to do with patents and technology transfer
in a developing country and the other involving trademark and copyright protection for indigenous industries
in a number of developing countries. Interns will provide research, logistical, analytical and writing
support for IIPI attorneys and staff. This will include preparing speeches and presentations for an
international audience and cooperating with intellectual property experts from around the country.
Experience with and interest in intellectual property law and policy are essential. Current or former
patent examiners, J.D.s or law students, and Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply. Academic credit
or a small stipend or both may be available. If interested, please send a resume, cover letter, and 2-3
page writing sample to ajaynes@iipi.org.
The application deadline for summer internships is 15 March 2010.
