Kaydian Smith

Kaydian Smith is a recent graduate of the George Washington University Law School where she completed her LL.M. Degree in Intellectual Property. Prior to joining IIPI, Kaydian was a legal intern for the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Design Registration League and is currently in the process of completing a comparative paper on the protection of Industrial Designs in the United States and the Caribbean.

A former state prosecutor in the island of Jamaica, Kaydian is interested in the role that a strong intellectual property regime plays in the economic future of developing countries and the efforts to combat counterfeiting and piracy in these countries. 

Kaydian also holds an LL.B. Degree (Hons.) from the University of the West Indies.
