Deborah Doraisamy obtained her LL.M. in Intellectual Property with The George Washington University School of Law. Prior to embarking on her graduate studies in the U.S., Deborah practiced IP law with well-known legal firms in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. She has managed the acquisition, maintenance, commercialization, and enforcement of IPRs in various Asian countries for individuals and multinational corporations from varying industry sectors. Deborah, who has been called to the Bar in England and Wales, Malaysia and Singapore, brings a wide range of legal experience to IIPI. Prior to her legal training, Deborah was an accomplished journalist in New Zealand. She has authored articles on IP and has been a consulting editor for a practitioner’s guide to IP in China.
